There is no doubt that Scotland is a beautiful country with beautiful mountains, the calm of the lake and the old palace. This is a wonderful place to visit on vacation and your life experience. Try to take in the scenery with a good malt whiskey in hand for a complete sensory experience. But there is no doubt that the Scottish weather can be unpredictable, to say the least: one where the sun shines, bath and / or high complaint the following day.
So what you need to know about the weather in Scotland before going there? And how do you travel light, but logical for a holiday in Scotland, England?
For a small country (you can run more than five hours!) Scotland has a very different climate regions. Atlantic Coast tend to be directed against humidity and winds from the North Sea to the east coast. The north-west, particularly the islands of the west such as Lewis and Harris may be something of a storm in winter – often with wind gusts up to 70 or 80 km / h. This also applies to the northern islands of Orkney and Shetland. East of Scotland, however, tend to get a quieter time in winter, but the opportunity to be more cold and snow. The capital, Edinburgh, located in south-east, tends to eliminate some of the summer.
Most tourists travel to Scotland during the summer months. The good news is that summer is a bit more predictable, though still very different. The temperatures are not very high, but the sun can feel free to “live” and easier to burn without realizing the amount of sun exposure you receive during the walk along Hill, refreshed by the breeze. If you take a walk in the hills, for example, in the highlands of the mountain, remember that the mountains, the rain that can come very quickly, even on sunny days. It is always a good idea for another layer of waterproof clothing and lightweight, even for a short ride. And do not forget the walking shoes makes sense if you try something beyond the shortest of runs.
Have you another challenge if you’re hiking or camping northwest Highlands this summer. Do not forget the mosquito, an insect bite on a packet of moist soil and gives you a lot of trouble, a little itchy bites. Mosquitoes breed in moist soil, so unfortunately you will probably arrive at their camp in the region of most of the Highlands of north-west, but it is time, if the prolonged dry weather. Although they tend to congregate around places where you will camp near the lakes and rivers.
During the day in Scotland (particularly in the north end) during the summer. So if you have good weather you can enjoy for hours.
Below I put a quick checklist of important points you should consider packing for a holiday in Scotland:
The Scottish Highlands, islands of the West and the Northern Islands

* Quick drying trousers (pants, if you can call them) – is better than shorts, as they offer protection against mosquitoes.
* Comfortable, walking shoes more waterproof shoes, shorts, walking or hiking more serious.
* Hiking socks are of good quality – can not look cool, but you can put your pants into your pants to dry up and cease to examine the insect’s legs.
* Mobile (cellular) phone if you have trouble walking or hiking.
* Insects – this will help a little to repel mosquitoes, but your best bet for camping is to cause a fire if the smoke does not want mosquitoes.
* Sunscreen
Sunglasses * – can be dazzling as the sun breaks!
* Good quality lightweight pump – complete with hot drinks like tea, coffee or soup, if you’re in a long-term support.

North East Scotland
* Most of the above recommendations, even if you do not have to worry about mosquitoes.
* There are some beautiful coastal walk for fun, but it’s worth the extra days when the wind or “His (cold fog) from the north, will be
* Take a bag or container, if you’re one of them walking on the beach – you might find interesting shells and sea glass along the road.
More Scotland
There are many other areas of Scotland to visit, so I only have a few points that appear in the “hard” you might encounter. Much of the information also applies if the car is out of town and the beautiful Scottish countryside. Scots are very kind people, but generally weak, who came to their country is not ready for time to collect. Perthshire for example, there are many beautiful fields and forest on foot. Perthshire, is located in the pretty, usually do not get more extreme weather and mountainous north-west of Scotland, but it is always wise to plan before starting to climb for two hours through the forest.
So now we have a better idea of what to bring, or buy when you come to Scotland for a holiday. Even if the weather takes you inside there is plenty to do and some hotels and inns in Scotland are very comfortable to relax in. Do not forget that Scotland has an ancient culture and history could be interesting. The result is a good book on the history of Scotland, sits in a comfortable chair and enjoy a drink malt whiskey right!
